Marseilles…Architect, Robert Swartburg, born in Bucharest, Romania designed both the Marseilles and the Delano Hotels in 1948. The Marseilles has almost all the peculiarities of the Art Deco style-vertical emphasis and a combination of flat and curved walls, use of glass blocks, neon, cove and porthole ceiling lighting and cast iron railings.
